Watering straight from the bag

Almost 400 irrigation bags, called treegators, irrigate roadside trees in the Rybnik city. The water accumulated in the bag wrapping the tree is gradually released into the soil where roots of the plant develop. The idea was used for the first time in Rybnik in 2018 and is being continued.

Flower meadows are a new trend in Polish cities!

It is not always going well and many examples of negative actions carried out in cities can be indicated, which are not conducive to adaptation to climate change. Here, however, we have a positive example.

In last days polish social media, then followed by television and radio, are buzzing with a new topic - use of concrete structures in polish cities. A weakness of many town authorities for concrete covers more and more areas of cities and towns. Polish citizens are against it.
