Conference: So the City Doesn’t Burn – How to Increase the Resilience of Cities to Heat and Drought
Closing conference and a field trip of the LIFE Tree Check project on the 30th and 31st August 2022.
In 2016, when the first ideas of the LIFE Tree Check project started to emerge, Central and Eastern European countries had weaker implementation structures and a lower level of public involvement in local decision-making than other regions of Europe. The LIFE Tree Check project aimed to contribute to an acceleration of the process, in line with European strategies, to achieve better climate governance in Europe. The project aimed to gather stakeholders from all the project countries (Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia) and other countries identified as being prepared to replicate this project. Let's discuss the achievement.
Let's discuss the achieved know-how and get inspired by successful projects and practises.
The event is under the auspices of
– Czech Minister for the Environment Anna Hubáčková
– Czech Minister for European Affairs Mikuláš Bek
